Chalet Hychris, located in Alex, is close to the Aravis mountains and the spectacular lakeside town of Annecy.
In addition to providing comfortable accommodations for up to eight guests, Chalet Hychris has recently undergone a complete renovation. There is an open plan living area on the ground floor with cosy seating areas where you can watch TV or relax with friends. At the large dining table, there's plenty of room to enjoy a meal you cook for a hungry crowd in the new kitchen.
On a sunny day, an awning adds some shade to the large sunny terrace that leads from the living area. There is another dining table outside where you can enjoy a barbecue or relax in the hot tub. The slide will appeal to younger children, and the lawn provides plenty of space for them to run.
There is a double bedroom on this floor, along with a separate toilet and shower room. Depending on your needs, you can arrange the bed as a kingsize or as two singles. On the top floor, there are two more double rooms with king-sized beds underneath the eaves. There is also a room equipped with a king-size bed or twin beds. Separate toilets and showers are shared between them.
A shower room and toilet are also located on the lower ground floor of the fourth double bedroom. This floor also has a laundry room with a washing machine and separate dryer.
If however the children want a swim whilst the others want to take a dog walk, then there are 4 popular beaches and the largest beach on the lake, Plage d'Albigny, is located near the lake's road. There is a large grassed area with floral borders and a pier. The Albigny rowing club is located next to the Imperial Palace park, with free access. This is a great beach for children because the lake bed is gently sloping and covered in sand. Showers, restaurants, and parking are available all summer, and lifeguards are on duty.
Walking along the River Nom, just north-east of the town of Thônes, is a short hour and a half walk. During the trek, you will pass a manor house that Jean-Jacques Rousseau stayed in while staying in the hamlet of 'La Tour'. Enjoy the shallow riverbank along the way with your dog while enjoying a picnic!
Through the La Clusaz valley, this hike is a nice, easy one-hour loop. You'll find some interesting information points dotted along the trail, giving you a glimpse of the local nature and history. In addition to enjoying the environment, your four-legged friend will enjoy the many scents of the woodland too!
A good three and a half hour walk is required for this walk. In this hike, you will walk from the ski resort of La Croix Fry, part of Manigod village, to the Croix de Colomban, which rises high above the town of Thônes.
It takes you through dense forests and Alpine meadows, and you will be completely surrounded by stunning scenery. You may even be able to see Mont Blanc if the weather is clear!
