Higher Wiscombe fits the bill perfectly winning the “Gold Award for the best Dog-friendly Accommodation” at the Visit Devon Awards 2015/16  and “Gold Award for the best Dog-friendly Accommodation” at the Visit England Awards March 2016

The owners want to make sure that whilst you are having a five-star break so are your dogs. They emphasise:-

“We are truly dog-friendly, having two ourselves, and know just how much they enjoy running and playing in our 52 acres of rolling Devon countryside. So please bring your dog with you and enjoy some of the finest countryside and walks that Devon has to offer” 

Going that extra mile the owners supply a lovely ‘Doggy Hamper” the star item is the ‘Dicky Bag” (made in Cornwall) and can be attached to leads, belts or handbags, no more walking the beach swinging poop bags!

The website shows off the excellent accommodation and goes that extra mile on information too with lots of advice on what to do and where to go, the list is very comprehensive also with a dogs view of life, which means walks, chases, ball retrieval, new smells and lots of new places to explore whether beach or countryside.

The owners have even taken the time to create a video of dogs on holiday!

At Higher Wiscombe, it's not just dogs that get to enjoy themselves, so do Hoomans!  The accommodation itself is “5 Star” graded and wins awards. With three cottages which can also be booked in combination its great for families and groups. Add in a swimming pool and you need to look no further!
