The route takes you through fields and along farm lanes, before reaching Dale Road and the charming village of Dale Abbey where you can visit the abbey remains and the old hermitage hidden in the woods; a site to behold when the bluebells are in full bloom. Nearby you have the cities of Nottingham and Derby, both hosting a wealth of culture and history awaiting your discovery. Dine at Michelin star restaurants, indulge in the shops and even see live performances at one of many venues. For further walking opportunities, the Peak District is easily reached by car.
